Beasley Media CEO Caroline Beasley has written a letter thanking company employees who worked through Hurricane Irma, which left a path of incredible destruction in Southwest Florida. Beasley not only has stations in Southwest Florida, Naples is also where the company has its headquarters.

ABC News Nightline will look at an unsolved murder in the new multiplatform docu-series A Murder on Orchard Street, premiering Tuesday, October 3. The seven-part narrative will be available across all ABC News digital platforms, select streaming platforms, and adapted into a podcast produced by ABC Radio.

If the trend continues, 2017 will be the third straight year of growth for the music industry. It's still a far cry from the glory days of the 90's when CD sales were booming. This new growth spurt can be attributed to streaming and to specific services like Spotify and Apple Music.

CBS' ENERGY 103.7 in San Diego has launched its new morning show with Tonya Gonzalez and Sean “Sonic” Leckie co-hosting. PD Chris Patyk said, “There’s no mistaking the drive and passion Tonya and Sonic have for winning. Their chemistry together is undeniable and they know this city and the ENERGY listeners. We’re excited to bring everyone along for the ride.”

The company is calling it a new and improved version of its free streaming mobile app. It includes a new look and logo, and CBS Radio says it's easier to navigate with higher streaming quality. The new app now also includes customizable sections for a user’s stations and subscribed-to podcasts.

Hospitality technology company KEYPR, whose cloud-based platform integrates an end-to-end hospitality experience for guests and staff through embedded and mobile devices, announced Wednesday it has joined forces with iHeartRadio.

The new Music Connection Podcast on PodcastOne, will be hosted by Randy Thomas, (announcer of the Academy Awards, Emmy Awards, Tony Awards, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame), and Arnie Wohl, manager and promoter for major acts. The podcast brings to life Music Connection Magazine.

Jim Watkins is the General Manager at WHUR at Howard University in Washington DC. He’s also one of Radio Ink’s Best Managers of 2017. Watkins is credited with building WHUR, 46 years ago.
