Jack Kulp is extending his contract with iHeartMedia's KISQ-FM in San Fransicso. Kulp is co-host of The Morning Breeze, with Carolyn McArdle. It's been a strong two years for the station, which now leads the San Francisco market (6 plus) as the number one music station. When it was rhythmic oldies, the station was in 17th place.
Senator Wants Station License Revoked Over Comments
St. Louis state senator Jamilah Nasheed (pictured) says KQQZ-AM host Bob Romanik uses racist and homophobic comments on the air and she's written a letter to FCC Chairman Ajit Pai asking that he pull the station's license and levy a big fine against the station.

Borrell: Radio Will Benefit From Brighter Forecast
Borrell and Associates has issued a revised report for the amount of money that will be spent on political advertising in 2018. An additional $321 million was added to Borrell's earlier estimates, and radio will receive approximately $683.4 million, up 21.1% from Borrell's earlier forecast. If true, radio will take in 7.7% of the total ad-spend pie.
“Freakanomics Radio” Coming To Stitcher
Stitcher has signed a deal with journalist and best-selling author Stephen J. Dubner to co-produce his popular Freakonomics Radio podcast and bring the show to the Stitcher network this summer.
