Media ecologist Jack Myers is out with his new digital projections and he expects annual audio advertising spending to show steady gains over the next three years. Myers is forecasting digital ad-spend growth averaging 18% per year with the total surpassing $20 billion by 2020.

Our condolences to the iHeartMedia team in Boston. Lana Jones died suddenly Wednesday morning after collapsing at home. She was 62. Jones was a general assignment reporter for WBZ in Boston. She joined the station in 1991 as a news writer, editor, and fill-in anchor/reporter. The last story she covered was the funeral of Patriots radio announcer Gil Santos Tuesday night.
