The RAB’s Rob Boaden Passes
Last month the RAB's VP of Sales Rob Boaden passed away suddenly from a heart attack at the age of 63. Rob was with the RAB for 17 years. He was also a big supporter of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A memorial page has been set up by St. Jude in his honor. You can visit that page HERE.

Broadcasters Cheer Pirate Radio Bill
U.S. Representative Leonard Lance of New Jersey introduced a bill to Congress on Tuesday to fight illegal pirate radio operators. The PIRATE Act, ‘‘Preventing Illegal Radio Abuse Through Enforcement Act’’ calls for an increased penalty of up to $2,000,000 for anyone convicted of operating a pirate station across the nation.
Saga Same-Station Q1 Revenue Flat
On a same-station basis for the first quarter of 2018, Saga's net revenue increased 0.3% to $26.2 million. CEO Ed Christian said both the automotive and medical categories were disappointing in the quarter. He said three months ago he felt was queasy about Q1 but "we were able to move the needle up a little."
Townsquare Reports Strong First Quarter

Entercom Launching New Audio Network
It's clear Entercom wants a bigger piece of the national revenue pie and will soon make an extra effort to make that happen. On Tuesday, Entercom announced it will launch the Entercom Audio Network on July 1.
Salem Reports Flat Broadcast Revenue
Salem's Q1 net broadcast revenue increased 0.5% to $48.1 million (from $47.8 million). Same-station revenue increased 0.4% to $47.3 million from $47.1 million. Salem owns 118 radio stations and a network.
