iHeartMedia Houston and the Houston Rockets are extending their partnership to keep Sportstalk 790 AM as the home of the NBA team. Rockets fans will continue to hear all regular season games, in addition to pre-game, post-game, and all other Rockets-related programming on Sportstalk 790 AM.

The company's foray into Esports is called BEASLEY XP and kicks off with the acquisition of the syndicated Esports gaming lifestyle radio show, CHECKPOINT RADIO. The announcement was made Tuesday at the 2018 Esports Business Summit at in Vegas. Pictured with CEO Caroline Beasley are co-hosts Nathan Bender and Joe Sloan.

It's all about the data. Last week at The Radio Show in Orlando, a lot of time was dedicated to data and what radio stations can do with it to generate more revenue. General Motors has gotten into the data collection business and the automotive giant is using radio as a way to collect it.

Curtis Media Group’s  WPLW-FM and WWPL-FM will host a benefit concert on October 20 to benefit those affected by Hurricane Florence. All proceeds will benefit the North Carolina Disaster Relief Fund and the American Red Cross.
