New Podcast Creeps Onto iHeart
Recording artist, YouTube regular and entrepreneur Kesha has linked up with iHeart for a new podcast. Kesha And The Creepies launches November 20.
New Role For Marati in KC
Roxanne Marati has been named Senior Vice President and Market Manager for Entercom Kansas City. Marati previously served as Vice President of Sales for Entercom Denver since 2013.
Urban One Radio Revenue Declines 29.7%
Revenue from Urban One's radio division, on a same-station basis, was down 29.7%. Excluding political, it was down 34.5%. By comparison, Q2 was down 57.1%. Radio did improve by over 50% from Q2 to Q3 this year which is another indication that, as the year goes on, revenue is coming back.
Salem Q3 Revenue Drops 5.4%
Total revenue for the Conservative/Religious broadcaster declined about $4 million from Q3 2019. Broadcast revenue was down 4.8%, ($45.4 million), compared to 2019 ($45.7 million) and up 15% compared to Q2 2020.
Beloved Country Programmer Bob McKay Dies
McKay got his start in the business on Armed Forces Radio while in the Air Force stationed in Guam. He continued to work in radio across the country, becoming PD at 99.9 KISS Country in South Florida and then 92.5 XTU in Philadelphia. McKay died from complications from Parkinsons
Norsan Moving Into Austin
Hispanic Media Company Norsan Media is expanding to Texas. The company is purchasing KZNX and translator K236AY which covers the Austin area. The frequency will be used to launch La Raza 95.1 FM/1530 AM with a Regional Mexican.
The Legendary Bob Oaks is Changing Roles
After 27 years as the voice of WBUR Boston's Morning Edition, Bob Oakes will soon be stepping away from the anchor chair and in 2021 become a Senior Correspondent. He'll work on features, profiles and political reports. WBUR will conduct a national search to replace Oakes.

B101.1 (WBEB-FM) in Philadelphia has switched to an all-holiday music format. The station will return to its regular adult contemporary format on December 28.
