Liggins: We Had an Outstanding Quarter
Urban One CEO Alfred Liggins said the vast majority of COVID effect is behind us when he opened up his earnings call Thursday morning. He also said there is significant interest in the Urban One platform from major advertisers which is impacting Urban One's business.
Beasley Nearly Doubles Revenue in Quarter
Beasley Media Group reported Q2 net revenue of just under $60 million, an increase of 96.1% from Q1 2020, the hardest hit quarter of the pandemic. CEO Caroline Beasley says Q3 is pacing up 30%, with July up 40%, August up 29% and September pacing at 23%.
Saga Shows Significant Improvement
With revenue of $28 million in the second quarter of 2021, Saga saw its revenue jump 66% from a year ago, at the height of the COVID lockdown. April was up 83%, May was up 74% and June was up 47%.
Nielsen Unveils PPM Wearables
Nielsen has announced that starting in September it will begin placing approximately 3,000 new Portable People Meter Wearables in a subset of its nearly 60,000 active PPM panelists.
