NPR One Scoring Big With Young Listeners

The Current has the details regarding the NPR app, which is a stream of NPR news and local coverage targeted to the listener’s location. It launched in 2014. The largest group of listeners on NPR One is in the 25-to-34 demo. That's according to NPR's own stats. And 40 percent of their listeners are under 35. More than a third of users who answered the NPR survey say they never or only occasionally listen to broadcast radio.

Cumulus Gets A New CFO

Cumulus has hired John Abbot as its new Chief Financial Officer effective July 1, 2016. Abbot most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Telx Holdings, a provider of connectivity, co-location, and cloud services in the data center industry. Abbot replaces J.P. Hannan, who resigned his position after six years in order to pursue other interests. Hannan will assist the company for several months during the transition.
