Marconi Winners Out At WRAL-FM Raleigh

$15K Fine Proposed For Alleged Florida Pirate
The FCC Enforcement Bureau has issued a notice of apparent liability for $15,000 to a Florida pastor for operating an unlicensed broadcast on 89.1 and 102.1 FM in Broward County. The bureau says Kender Maxime was warned that operating the stations was illegal and that he could face further enforcement action, but disregarded those warnings.

Alan Henry, Gordon Hastings Publish Book
It's called "A Man and His Medium,"and Hastings tells Radio Ink it's a memoir of Alan Henry and he helped Henry write it. The book includes information about talk radio in Los Angeles from the early 1960s and extensive information on the development of the all-news radio format. The book should be available later this week.
Big Fun As Alpha West Palm Beach Lands Awards
Two first-place awards and two third-place awards at the Florida Festival and Events Association 2016 Sunsational Awards for their Our Kids World Family Funfest, to be precise. The Funfest is a two-day event with a wide array of games and activities, including bounce houses, rock-climbing walls, a mini racetrack, a petting zoo, and pony rides.
