Addressing a serious issue that has been prominent in the news for some time now, CRS has announced the addition of a harassment workshop titled “A Conversation About Harassment.” Led by New York attorney Shelley Greenwald (pictured), the workshop will be held February 7 (11:00-11:50 a.m. and again 2:00-2:50 p.m).

Husband Arrested For Murder Of Radio Host Wife
This story sounds like it was ripped from the pages of a James Patterson novel. Sixty-eight-year-old James Kauffman has been arrested and charged with murdering his wife, New Jersey radio host April Kauffman. ABC-TV in Philadelphia is reporting that Kauffman paid a hitman to murder his wife to protect an alleged drug ring he ran with the Pagans outlaw motorcycle gang.
Trump Wants More Carr On FCC
The President has renominated Republican Brendan Carr to server a second term on the FCC, which the FCC Commissioner thanked the President for. "Serving on the Commission is a tremendous honor and privilege, and I am proud of the work we have already accomplished. If reconfirmed, I look forward to many more years of working with my colleagues at the FCC."

Upstate New York FM Sells For $32,500
When was the last time an FM signal sold for a few thousand dollars? 3,000-watt WLPW-FM (105.5), licensed to Lake Placid, NY (market 148), is being sold for $32,000 by Radio Lake Placid Inc. The buyer is North Country Radio Inc. and the broker for the deal was Jason James of Patrick Communications.
Extension For MIW Apps
The MIW Group has extended the deadline for receiving applications for its 2018 “Mildred Carter MIW Group Mentoring Program” to Monday, January 22, 2018. The program, in its 17th year, pairs up-and-coming women who currently work in the radio industry with female professionals recognized as leaders in radio. Four candidates will be chosen. U.S. Trustee Files Objection to Cumulus Plan
William Harrington, the United States Trustee for Region 2 has filed an objection to Cumulus' Disclosure Statement For Joint Plan of Reorganization. The trustee listed five reasons why the objection is being filed and has asked the court to deny the Reoganization Disclosure statement.

That's according to Cumulus/Westwood One Chief Insights Officer Pierre Bouvard who writes about the topic in his latest blog. Bouvard quotes a recent study of 2,617 consumers conducted by Vision Critcal/MARU. The consumers were asked if they hear the ads that run on Pandora, Spotify, and radio?
