With the addition of five more members of the House of Representatives, the NAB now has support of 200 House members for its Local Radio Freedom Act. The LRFA opposes any new royalty tax for music airplay on radio stations. Another Senator jumped onboard as well.

Jim Shea has been named President of El Dorado Broadcasters, which owns stations in Victor Valley, CA, and Yuma, AZ. For the past seven years, Shea has been the CEO of Mapleton Communications. In July, Mapleton sold its 37 stations to the Stephens Media Group.
