The NAB has announced results of its Executive Committee Board of Directors elections. Salem Media President David Santrella (pictured) was re-elected Radio Board chair. Townsquare CEO Bill Wilson was voted in as Radio Board first vice chair and Zimmer Radio Owner John Zimmer was elected second vice chair.

The news broke this week that the host of The Holstein & Company Morning Show on WIXY-FM in Champaign, Illinois was let go. Steve Holstein was a morning fixture for 24 years at the station. Now with some extra time on his hands he talked with Radio Ink.

Ele Ellis is the new content manager of WUMW 89.7 FM – Milwaukee’s NPR. Ellis has spent nearly two decades working in public radio. Prior to joining WUWM, Ellis was PD for WKSU in Kent, Ohio.

Tomorrow Alpha Media will carry United For Justice- A Day of Discussion in over 40 markets across the country. The broadcast will address racial tensions in America and feature national and local voices fighting for equality and justice. 

Tonight at 7pm CST Compass Media's DeDe In The Morning will host a Facebook Live event about Race in America. She'll have guests from four of her affiliate cities; Dallas, Pittsburgh, Milwaukee and New Haven.

After being fired one week ago, former iHeart Rochester hosts Kimberly & Beck are apologizing for racist comments (Kimberly) Ray made on WAIO-FM. They say the apology is not to try to get their jobs back but because they said hurtful things.

The FCC plans to randomly audit 5% of stations every year to make sure they are adhering to the Commission's EEO requirements. As Broadcast Attorney David Oxenford points out, 35 stations were audited this week. Stations must have 2 year's worth of EEO reports in their public file.

Connoisseur Media and WFSB Channel 3 are partnering to deliver a live broadcast about race and justice featuring community leaders in Connecticut. The simulcast, Face The State: A Conversation About Race & Justice in Connecticut, will air tonight at 7 P.M.
