Summit Media-Omaha station KSRZ wrapped up its 20th Annual Adopt-A-Family with the Salvation Army. This year, listeners adopted almost 2,000 families in just a day and a half — both are records.

PD Kurt Owens remarked, “This year’s radiothon focused on matching families in need of holiday assistance with families and local business that are able to provide gifts for all the children in the family, along with a holiday meal.”

Meanwhile, Summit Media-Omaha’s KKCD had another record year raising money for Make-A-Wish Nebraska. This year’s radiothon raised over $96,000 to help grant wishes to children with life-threatening conditions. This is the 14th year the station has partnered with Make-A-Wish Nebraska and the total was another record.

Summit Media Omaha Ops Manager Matt Derrick said: “Both of these events are true testament to the passion and community spirit our team has and the love and support our listeners pour out during the holiday season. Our brands were represented well, while doing some amazing good four our community. It’s exactly what Summit Media is all about.”
