Indianapolis Hits station WZPL raised a record $839,638 in just 36 hours for Central Indiana children with life-threatening illnesses through The Smiley Morning Show’s 23rd Annual Make-A-Wish Request-A-Thon.
WZPL listeners called in to the live broadcast on December 5 and 6 and requested their favorite songs in exchange for a donation to Make-A-Wish Foundation. Over the course of the last 23 years, the station has helped raise more than $7.5 million for Make-A-Wish.
