Inrush Broadcast Services has appointed Rob Bertrand as Chief Executive Officer, formalizing a leadership transition designed to guide the company’s next stage of growth in broadcast engineering. Bertrand joined the firm in January as a partner.

Bertrand most recently served on the leadership team at WAMU in Washington, DC, where he was head of technology. His career also includes serving as Market Chief Engineer for CBS Radio New York, where he supported multiple newsrooms, oversaw a 24/7 operations center, and launched CBS Sports Radio.

He began his career at Greater Media in New Jersey.

As such, founder Mike Dorris will step into the role of Chief Operating Officer. Partner Shaun Dolan has been named Senior Vice President of Emerging Technologies; partner Brian Sapp becomes Senior Vice President of Client Success & Service Delivery; and partner Cameron Boswell takes on Senior Vice President of Integration & Systems Engineering.

Dorris said, “It’s incredible how much we’ve grown over the past five years. We’re ready to be more intentional about how we work. It’s what we had in mind when we brought Rob aboard early this year. I’m thrilled that things have worked out so well and that our company is well-positioned to continue leading the growth of engineering services for the radio industry.”

“Rob came along at exactly the right time with exactly the right skillset to fill that role. His deep technical expertise, combined with his leadership skills, makes him a perfect fit for the team.”

Bertrand added, “From afar, I admired the reputation that Inrush forged over the past five years and, now on the inside, I continue to be amazed at the accomplishments of our group every day. Inrush has been quietly establishing itself as a leader in the radio industry, powered by some of the nicest and most committed human beings you’ll ever meet.”

“I’m honored that Mike trusts me to take the helm of the successful company he’s built alongside incredible teammates. I couldn’t be more thrilled to work with this particular group of people in this expanded capacity, at this particular moment in time.”
