Hallmark Media has announced its first-ever entry into the scripted podcast arena with the launch of a new original series titled Crimson Hearts Collide. The eight-part romance-mystery series, produced by AYR, is an extension of Hallmark’s legacy brand Mahogany, a Black-focused card line that has become a significant entertainment initiative.
Crimson Hearts Collide tells the story of Sonora Williams, a successful New York City lawyer who suddenly inherits a farm in Alabama from an uncle she never knew. The narrative explores her journey to uncover her family’s secrets and her encounter with the intriguing cowboy Zeke Summers.
Featuring an all-star cast including Malinda Williams, Amanda Seales, and Keith D. Robinson, the podcast will premiere its first two episodes on August 24, with subsequent episodes released every Thursday.
Hallmark Media SVP of Programming Development Toni Judkins said, “I’m thrilled for fans to experience the heart of our powerful Hallmark storytelling in this new, accessible and rapidly growing medium. Listeners will fall in love with the enchanting story of Crimson Hearts Collide, which is sure to invite more people into the passionate, vibrant world of Mahogany programming.”
