SiriusXM has announced the introduction of a new daily show, Beadle & Decker, on its Mad Dog Sports Radio channel. The weekday early afternoon show will be hosted by media personality Michelle Beadle and former major leaguer Cody Decker. The new program will replace Dog Days in the channel’s lineup, as hosts Danny Kanell and Dusty Dvoracek have decided to reduce their daily on-air schedule.
Michelle Beadle is known for hosting ESPN’s NBA Countdown, SportsNation, and Get Up!. Cody Decker, who played for several MLB teams before retiring in 2019, will contribute his insights as a former professional athlete.
The addition of Beadle and Decker comes on the heels of Evan Cohen announcing his departure from Mad Dog Sports Radio as he prepares to be part of the new ESPN Radio network morning show.
Beadle commented, “I’ve been an avid listener to Mad Dog Sports Radio for so long that getting the opportunity to join the lineup and talk all sports, everyday, is as good as it gets. Cody is ok, too.”
Decker said, “‘Mad Dog’ is a name that’s been registering on the sports landscape Richter Scale for years. I’ve been a listener and fan since day one on SiriusXM. Having the chance to share the airwaves with a daily lineup like this, not to mention to work with a cohost the caliber of Michelle, is something I had only dreamed of.”
