Radio Updates For Apple Music Coming Alongside Tech

With Apple’s recent unveiling of its latest iPhones, MacBooks, and the Apple Vision Pro augmented reality headset, the company also announced five changes coming to Apple Music this fall.

First and foremost, subscribers will be able to stream the entire catalog of Apple Music radio shows on Apple Podcasts. This integration allows users to follow shows, download episodes, and receive automatic notifications of new episodes, expanding their access to commercial-free radio content.

The updates include the ability for Apple Music subscribers to collaborate on playlists by inviting others to select and edit tracks, as well as add emoji reactions to specific songs. The app will also display comprehensive song credits, providing information about the artists who contributed to tracks and their roles.

Another update introduces Continuity Camera to the Apple Music Sing karaoke feature, allowing users to see themselves onscreen and apply camera filters while singing along to the lyrics. Additionally, Apple Music is expanding SharePlay to the car, enabling users to contribute to what’s playing without an Apple Music subscription. When listening to Apple Music in a car, other iPhone devices will suggest joining the session, and listeners can control the music from their own devices.

These new features come with the release of iOS 17, iPadOS 17, macOS Sonoma, watchOS 10, and tvOS 17, currently due in mid-September.
