SOS Stuffs The Bus For Kids

Las Vegas listeners to SOS Radio stuffed a bus full of school supplies for some of the city’s most under-resourced schools. Over 1,500 backpacks were stuffed full of school supplies! In addition, dozens of huge moving boxes were filled with teacher supplies for the schools.

“Stuff The Bus Day,” was the fulfillment of a 5 week long campaign to raise backpacks, school supplies, and teacher supplies for the most underserved schools in the Clark County School District. CCSD donated a full size, 35 foot, school bus to be part of the event. SOS Radio 90.5 volunteers attached 4 large posters to the side of the bus with the beneficiary school names on them so that everyone who stopped by could write a note of encouragement for the students and teachers for the first day of school!

Scott Herrold, Morning show host for SOS Radio 90.5 said, “I love seeing all the students who came by to STUFF THE BUS in person! For example, one of families who came by had kids who opened a snow cone stand in the park to raise money to buy school supplies for Stuff The Bus! The kids were so excited to load the backpacks and school supplies personally!
