The Radio Music Licensing Committee has announced that Irving Azoff’s Global Music Rights organization has agreed to offer extensions of its interim licenses that are set to expire on March 31. The new interim licenses will now run through the end of September. All terms, including price, will be the same. The RMLC is still locked in a years-long antitrust fight with GMR.
GMR intends to contact individual stations to offer this interim license extension by mid-March. If your station has not heard from GMR by March 15 you are encouraged to contact GMR directly before your license expires, at 844-827-5467.
