It’s A Rebrand For KNKX 88.5

Thursday, March 16, sees the launch of community-licensed KNKX’s rebrand — new logos, and brand pillars that support KNKX’s mission of delivering excellence in jazz, blues, and news with stories that inspire, inform, and connect our community. The rebrand is based on four core values: storytelling, innovation, community, and connection. The station says the brand pillars supporting KNKX’s mission include attributes listeners associate with KNKX, and which differentiate the station as a leader: Integrity, Experience, Approachability, Depth, Compassion, Sustainability, and Personal. KNKX broadcasts at 88.5 in Seattle/Tacoma, 89.3 in Port Angeles/Victoria, 88.9 in Sedro-Woolley, 90.1 in Olympia and 96.7 in Woodland; and to other Western Washington communities through six translators.

“We wanted to get at the heart of why people cared enough to save the station and then communicate that through our brand,” said KNKX Development Director Mary Dunaway. “Our brand is a tool to tell our story and help guide our decision-making. The next phase of our story will be putting the final touches on our strategic plan and advancing a vision to increase our news, expand our music and proliferate our connection to the community.”
