The Kids Will Learn Radio In Tennessee

The Tennessee Association of Broadcasters, University of Tennessee Knoxville, and National Radio Talent System have announced May 15-24 as the dates for the inaugural TAB Radio Talent Institute.

The Institute is 10 days of learning everything about radio. Students will get insight from over 30 broadcasters with sessions that focus on every aspect of the business. The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, will be the location.

National Radio Talent System Founder Dan Vallie said, “We are very excited to be partnering with the University of Tennessee and working with Sam Swan and the College of Communication and Information, and with Benny Smith, at their award-winning college radio station, WUTK. And we couldn’t be happier to partner with Whit Adamson, President, and the TAB, who have been supportive of the National Radio Talent System almost from the very beginning. Whit is a real pro, is great to work with, and the TAB has shown their support, even prior to this partnership, by providing scholarships for the Radio Talent Institute in Kentucky.”

The TAB Radio Talent Institute is accepting applications from students now, and we encourage all broadcasters to urge their interns at the stations now and from this past summer to apply HERE. The deadline to apply is March 31.
