After 30-plus years with the station, Elizabeth Ruiz was inducted into the San Antonio Radio Hall of Fame Sunday, August 14. The radio vet adds this to her membership in the Texas Radio Hall of Fame, San Antonio Women's Hall of Fame, Edgewood Hall of Fame, and Fiesta San Antonio's Order of the Cascaron.

The Fayetteville Observer has the details about long-time WRCQ host Ann Thomas who died before going on the air Monday. No details about her death were given.

John Mullett has been promoted to Music Director at ALT 92.9 in Boston. Mullett joined WBOS-FM in 2013, where he most recently served as Marketing Director.

She moves to Knoxville to program the Cumulus Country station from Cumulus' cluster in Modesto-Stockton, CA, where she's been PD for KATM-FM/Kat Country for the last five years.

McDonald is a former Executive Director of Programming and Consumer Research at National Geographic Channels. He fills the position as head of NAB Research, previously held by Tanya Van Pool. McDonald will report to Ann Marie Cumming, Senior Vice President, Communications.

95.5 KLOS/Los Angeles has re-signed The Heidi & Frank Show to a multi-year deal. In addition, Frosty Stillwell will reunite with his former cast members as a permanent co-host beginning Tuesday, September 6. The reunion comes six years after Frosty left the show to do News/Talk in San Francisco.

It's a newly created position for Smith, who gets promoted from VP of Sales to GM for two Cumulus FMs, Hot AC WDVD-FM and Country WDRQ-FM.

Changes at Fox News Channel as Jack Abernethy -- who in an earlier role spearheaded the launch of Fox News Radio -- is named co-president of Fox News Channel, alongside Bill Shine, who moves into the co-president role from EVP. Both report to FNC Exec. Chairman Rupert Murdoch.

The Fox Sports San Diego station’s new lineup includes the debut of Hardwick & Richards in the mornings, with former Charger Nick Hardwick and XTRA 1360 personality Judson Richards, and middays with The Mark & Rich Show, featuring radio and TV vet Mark Willard, along with former NFL lineman Rich Ohrnberger.

Morgan Patrick, who hosted Carolina Hurricanes pre- and post-game shows from 1999 to 2006 is returning to the role for the new season, on 99.9 The Fan. He’ll be joined on The Stormfront by the radio voice of the Hurricanes Chuck Kaiton, and on The Aftermath by Canes TV broadcaster John Forslund.
