620 WTMJ and 94.5 KTI COUNTRY has hired Frank Monroe as Production Director of the commercial production department. Monroe joins Scripps from Crystal Lake, Illinois where he served as the Production Director for Matrix Broadcasting and midday host for WZSR.

CBS' ENERGY 103.7 in San Diego has launched its new morning show with Tonya Gonzalez and Sean “Sonic” Leckie co-hosting. PD Chris Patyk said, “There’s no mistaking the drive and passion Tonya and Sonic have for winning. Their chemistry together is undeniable and they know this city and the ENERGY listeners. We’re excited to bring everyone along for the ride.”

David Dean has been named Program Director for 95.5 The Bull. Dean will work closely with on-air personalities and sales to oversee the station brand’s on-air and digital programming, as well as local events and partnerships. He will report to Tony Matteo.

Mike Adam takes over afternoon drive, pushing Cane to the evening slot. Adam joined FRESH 102.7 in July for summer fill-in work. Prior to that he hosted weekends on WBMP-FM (AMP RADIO) in New York and PM drive on the former WZMP in Philadelphia. Matt Sneed moves from the weekday evening shift to middays on the weekends.

The West Michigan radio personality has joined WHTS/105.3 Hot FM as co-host of the 105.3 Hot FM morning show, taking the seat beside longtime host Rachael Gray, 6 a.m.-10 a.m. weekdays.

Webb is part of the morning team with Jack Harris on iHeart's WFLA in Tampa. They've been together since 1994. The 68-year old tells TBO.com this is tough. "I am giving up one of the loves of my life." Webb has congestive heart failure and diabetes which have both gotten worse in recent months.

Cox Media Group has named Cathy Gunther Market VP for Tulsa and Dan Lawrie Market VP for Jacksonville. Gunther will oversee CMG's TV and radio properties in Tulsa and Lawrie will lead CMG's TV and radio properties in Jacksonville. CMG has been moving more toward a consolidated leadership structure in markets that include both radio and TV.

iHeart's WTAM in Cleveland posted the news of the passing of Hall of Fame broadcaster and Cleveland radio legend John Webster. Webster's stepson told WTAM that Webster recently had surgery after breaking his hip and was resting at his home in central Florida when Hurricane Irma hit. Without power for over a week, Webster's health deteriorated and he died. He was 74.

Wolfe will also continue his duties as Producer of the popular WLS/Chicago morning show The WLS Wake Up Call, a position he has held since 2003. A native of Coal City, IL, Wolfe graduated from Illinois Center for Broadcasting in 2002.

The late sportscaster Bob Wolff, one of the most prolific and recognizable voices in sports broadcast history, has been selected as the 10th recipient of the Vin Scully Lifetime Achievement Award in Sports Broadcasting from WFUV Radio (90.7 FM).
