Bridges Re-signs In Detroit
Robby Bridges has signed a contract extension as Director of FM Programming, of Cumulus’ Detroit cluster, which includes Hot AC WDVD, Country WDRQ, and Classic Country WDRQ-HD2. Bridges is also on Cumulus’ Hot AC and Country format SWAT teams, and anchors PM drive on WDVD.
Pai Picks Burger For CTO
FCC Chairman Ajit Pai has appointed Eric Burger to serve as the agency’s Chief Technology Officer. Dr. Burger will advise Pai and the agency on technology and engineering issues, together with the Office of Engineering and Technology.
Three Staff Changes At LPM
The changes are at Louisville Public Media, which operates 89.3 WFPL News Louisville, the Kentucky Center for Investigative Reporting, and the Ohio Valley ReSource. Erica Peterson, WFPL’s environment reporter since 2011, has been promoted to assignment editor. Two other changes have also been announced.

Radio veteran Deborah Rodriguez has been named weekday morning drive anchor for CBS News Radio. Rodriguez begins Monday, October 2, with her top-of-the-hour newscasts heard daily starting at 5 a.m. ET on CBS News Radio affiliates around the country.

Drew Salamon has been named Region Vice President of Sales for its Virginia-Carolina Region making the move from Pittsburgh. iHeartMedia’s Virginia-Carolina Region has a strong cross-platform encompassing more than 53 stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.
McNeal Brings Experience To KIZN Boise Mornings
As of October 2, Shawnda McNeal will be the new co-host of Idaho’s Morning Show on Country radio station KIZN Kissin’ 92.3 in Boise. McNeal will join co-host Cory Mikhals weekdays from 5:30-10 a.m. She will also do double-time on-air as the new midday host for the station
Smyth Honored By Mass Broadcasters HOF
Former Greater Media CEO Peter Smyth was among the 2017 inductees recognized for life-long contributions to broadcasting, at the 2017 Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame induction luncheon. Pressley Makes Black Women Of Influence List
Cox Media Group Atlanta Radio’s Condace Pressley, a Georgia Radio Hall of Fame Inductee and WSB Radio’s Manager of Program Operations and Community Affairs, was recently selected to the Atlanta Business League’s 2017 list of Atlanta’s Top 100 Black Women of Influence.
