According to USA Today, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie has pulled himself out of consideration for the soon-to-be vacant afternoon shift at WFAN in New York. Clare Heads to Ohio

Cumulus has hired Chris Clare to program WNNF/NASH-FM 94.1 in Cincinnati. He's leaving 99.9 The Wolf/WTHT-FM in Portland, ME, where he was PD. It's Clare's second stop in Cincinnati, having previously been on-air at Star 96.5/WFTK-FM. He’s also programmed and worked at stations in Indianapolis, Denver, New Orleans and Pensacola.

Hotchkiss Gets Promoted by iHeart

Keith Hotchkiss has been named Region President for North Ohio. iHeartMedia North Ohio includes 30 stations in Cleveland, Akron, Youngstown, Lima, Ashland, Mansfield, Marion and Defiance. Hotchkiss joins the region from iHeartMedia’s Virginia-Carolina Region, where he most recently served as Regional Senior VP of Sales. Hotchkiss replaces Gary Mincer.

Mijo to Miami

Miguel “Mijo” Irizarry is joining the air staff at CBS Radio's Power 96 (WPOW-FM) in Miami beginning Monday, August 28. Irizarry will host weeknights from 7:00 PM to Midnight. He replaces Ivy “Unleashed” who was moved to afternoon drive.

WAY Media Has a New CEO

The company has named John Scaggs as its new Chief Executive Officer. He succeeds Bob Augsburg, who founded the organization 30 years ago with his wife Felice, is retiring. Augsburg said, "John is perfectly suited to take over the reins of WAY Media. He has served the Ministry so well over many years as a board member as well as a strategic sounding board and prayer support to me. I couldn't be happier with this decision."

Garrett to Run Omaha For Salem

Salem Media Group has promoted Sue Garrett to General Manager in Omaha. Garrett has been the GSM for the Omaha sales team for the past seven years. Senior VP for Broadcast Operations Linnae Young said, “Omaha has been a very productive market for Salem. It is gratifying to see someone within our own company be recognized and given this quality opportunity.”

Cumulus Promotes Bruns in Memphis

Danni Bruns has been elevated to the newly created position of Operations Manager for Cumulus' four-station cluster in Memphis. Bruns will oversee operations for KIX-106/WGKX-FM, 98.1 The Max/WXMX-FM, 103.5 WRBO, and 98.9 The Vibe/WKIM-FM. She'll also continue to serve as PD for 98.1 The Max and co-host The Max’s Afternoon Drive show.

WEEI Host Added to Radio Show Panel
