The radio vet has been named Vice President of Programming for iHeart’s ALT 98.7, “LA’s New Alternative.” She was also named Alternative Rock Brand Manager for iHeartMedia’s National Programming Group. In the former role, Worden will work alongside Mike Kaplan, PD at ALT 98.7, while in the latter she will report to Tom Poleman, Chief Programming Officer for iHeartMedia, and Brad Hardin, EVP and GM of National Programming Group for iHeartMedia. Worden was previously APD and MD for KROQ-FM in LA, first joining the station as its Music Director in 1995. Beginning in 2003, Worden spent two years as the PD for WHFS-FM in Washington, DC, returning to KROQ-FM in 2005.
“Lisa is widely regarded as an outstanding leader in the Alternative Rock world,” said Poleman. “Her relationships are fantastic. She’ll play a key role in helping artists maximize iHeartMedia’s unmatched Alternative footprint.”
Worden was named one of Billboard’s Top Women in Music from 2010-2014, and one of Billboard’s Top Rock Programmers in 2016.
