Former Greater Media CEO Peter Smyth was among the 2017 inductees recognized for life-long contributions to broadcasting, at the 2017 Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame induction luncheon. Pressley Makes Black Women Of Influence List

93Q (WNTQ), “Syracuse’s #1 Hit Music Station,” has been named Syracuse’s Top Radio Station, and 93Q morning personalities Ted Long and Amy Robbins have been chosen as Syracuse’s Favorite Radio Personalities in the Syracuse New Times’ annual Best of Syracuse reader poll. Voting took place August 23-September 12.
Foundation Honors Fries
The Broadcasters Foundation of America has established the Gary Fries Memorial Fund to honor the former RAB CEO. Fries was a long-time director of the Broadcasters Foundation. He died this past Friday at the age of 76.
5,000 Shows And Counting For Steve & Ted
This Wednesday, September 27, Steve and Ted in the Morning on KNSS/Wichita will celebrate their 5000th show. Local boys Steve McIntosh and Ted Woodward have won multiple awards from The Associated Press, Kansas Association of Broadcasters, RTNDA with a Murrow, and the National Association of Broadcasters with a Marconi.
