Gregory Simonson has been named the new GSM at Beasley Media Group's Fayetteville, North Carolina cluster. Simonson began his career in New York with the Katz Media Group in 1995 and spent 15 years in management roles in Detroit, Los Angeles, and Atlanta. Most recently, Simonson was the Southeast Regional VP of Advertising Partnerships at Inc.’s iAd division.

WGN Radio has promoted Stephanie Menendez to Director of News & Operations. Menendez has been an integral part of WGN Radio since 2008. A native of Louisiana, she rose through the ranks from producer and Assistant Program Director to Operations Manager.

KIDO Talk Radio/Boise (107.5 FM, 580 AM) signed the extension with Kevin Miller -- Brand Manager for KIDO Talk Radio and host of the Kevin Miller Morning Show. His show focuses on news, politics, community advocacy, and events that affect the lives of people throughout the Treasure Valley.

WAY Media Network PD Todd Stach has announced that Steve Shore has been named Network Music Director. He took up the role October 1. Shore is a WAY Media and Christian music radio industry veteran, having served in various roles at WAY-FM for the past 15 years.

iHeart has named Chris Edge Area Senior VP of Programming for Raleigh and Greensboro. iHeartMedia’s Raleigh and Greensboro Area includes 10 stations. Edge is currently responsible for programming five iHeart Raleigh stations, a position he's had for the past five years.

Shelli Sonstein celebrates 40 years on the New York radio airwaves as co-host of the Jim Kerr Rock and Roll Morning Show by inking a four-year contract extension with Q104.3 Radio, it was announced Wednesday. Sonstein recently won a Gracie Award for best radio co-host.

Alex Mac has been named afternoon personality and Music Director for ALT 106.3, Des Moines’ Alternative Rock station, as well as evening personality for ALT 104.9, St. Louis’ Alternative Rock station, effective October 30. Mac will broadcast from 2-7 p.m. on ALT 106.3, and 7 p.m.-midnight on ALT 104.9.

Radio One has promoted Tim Davies from VP/GM in Atlanta to Regional VP. The 20 year vet oversees the Radio One Atlanta and Reach Media operation which includes four radio stations, four syndicated shows, digital platforms, the filming of Dish Nation TV, and signature events such as Birthday Bash and Praise in the Park.

Syndicated AC and Classic Hits morning show Murphy, Sam and Jodi can now be heard on MARC Radio Group’s WXJZ-FM in Gainesville, iHeartMedia’s KYWY-FM in Cheyenne, and iHeart's WDFM-FM in Defiance, OH. That brings the new morning show up to 47 affiliates across the country.

Philadelphia’s 95.7 BEN FM will feature Dee Snider, lead singer of 80s rock band Twisted Sister, as the guest host of “95.7 BEN FM’s Halloween Hair Ball” on Saturday, October 28, starting at 7 p.m. Snider will play the top 50 greatest hair band hits of the 80s, as chosen by the 95.7 BEN FM listeners, commercial free.
