Entercom announces that Aaron Axelsen will remain APD and Music Director for ALT 105.3 (KITS-FM) in San Francisco after signing a multi-year contract extension. Axelsen began as an intern at KITS-FM in 1995 and was later promoted to Music Director in 1998 and APD in 2008.
Market Manager Susan Larkin said Axelsen is an integral part of the new ALT 105.3 team. “He’s the quintessential sound of the station and has remained an important part of the station’s success for decades.”
Axelsen said he’s beyond thrilled to be a member of the Entercom Alternative team. “A huge thanks to David Field, Michael Martin, Susan Larkin, Pat Paxton and Chris Oliviero for this incredible opportunity to help launch the new ALT 105.3, as we welcome a new era for alternative music fans here in the Bay Area.”
