It was clear that the demographics of America were changing, and that the Hispanic population in America was booming. It didn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that this growth should bring good times for Hispanic-formatted radio stations.

Ronn Owens, who has called KGO-AM Radio his home for 40 years, is being moved to KSFO. He'll take over afternoon drive, replacing the Mark Levin Show. KSFO was carrying all syndicated conservative talk shows. Additional changes are expected to be made at the two stations. Cumulus says those will be announced early next week.

Report: Entercom To Extend Deal With Red Sox

The Boston Herald is reporting that the Red Sox are set to announce a new long-term deal to extend their broadcast rights agreement with WEEI. The new deal is expected to be for at least five years. The Herald reports that the current 10-year deal expires at the end of this season and had Entercom making escalating payments to the Red Sox over the years, culminating with $17 million this season.
