Key On-Air Appointments At WEBE Connecticut
Cumulus Media announced that it has appointed Beth Foster as co-host of WEBE Wake Up Morning Show with Jay Michaels in Bridgeport, CT. Foster has previously been on-air for several stations in southern Connecticut. Concurrently, Cumulus Bridgeport announced that it has upped longtime WEBE swing shift talent Andy Madison to co-host/Traffic Reporter, afternoons on WEBE.
Online Listening Is NOT Declining

Power 96.1 Atlanta Launches New Morning Show
iHeartMedia's WWPW-FM will kick off Monday with a new morning show called PK and Riley. PK will join Power 96.1 from Houston. He was the founding member of the Playhouse morning show in Portland. Also, joining the show is former Playhouse member Denise.

Late last week, employees at KCBS-AM in San Francisco voted in favor of joining SAG-AFTRA. Production assistants, writers, and newsroom assistants will join the union with an existing bargaining unit of editors at the all-news station.

The Nebraska Broadcasters Association has inducted Dave Thorell into its Hall of Fame, which was established in 1972. He becomes the 97th member and will be inducted in a ceremony on August 16 during the 82nd Annual Convention in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Radio’s Digital Ratings Product is Ready
The radio industry has been eagerly and patiently waiting for a ratings system that can accurately measure over-the-air listening and online listening -- data that needs to be easily presentable and understandable to advertisers. Nielsen has been testing its online audio ratings product for many months, and Thursday the company announced the service is ready to go. Radio stations will have their first taste of presentable data in May.
