We asked them all two questions: 1) Do you believe the playing field is 100% fair for both women and men to advance in radio? 2) Has radio done a good job of promoting women into management and leadership positions? Host Of Kane Show Arrested

The Washington Post has the details regarding the arrest of syndicated host Peter Deibler, also known as Kane on The Kane Show. He was arrested in Maryland, Friday, after his wife accused him of second-degree assault. Deibler and his wife are in the middle of a nasty divorce, some of the details making their way onto Kane's radio show.

NAB Breaks Ground On New Facility

The new headquarters will be located at 1 M Street SE, in Washington, D.C. The new 10-story, 130,000-square-foot building is expected to be completed by Fall of 2018. The NAB has been at its current location, 1771 N St NW, since 1947. The NAB streamed the event from Monday and you can view it HERE.

Daniels Named OM For Entercom Madison

Entercom has promoted Chase Daniels to Operations Manager in Madison, replacing David Moore. Daniels will oversee Hot AC WMHX (Mix 105.1), Triple AAA WMMM (105-5 Triple M), and Classic Hits WOLX. Daniels has also worked at WSTR Atlanta and WAPE Jacksonville.

ESPN, Entercom Get Rams Games

The Los Angeles Rams have signed a five-year agreement with ESPNLA 710AM, which will serve as the Rams’ official home and flagship radio partner. The team has also reached a multi-year agreement with Entercom’s The Sound 100.3FM which will simulcast game-day broadcasts and serve as the Rams’ official FM home.

The Gazette in Cedar Rapids has the details about KMRY host Ricky Bartlett's near-death experience. Bartlett had part of his left leg amputated 18 months ago after contracting necrotizing fasciitis, also known as flesh-eating disease.

Lowes Jumps Back Into Top Three

Having to compete with the consistently number one radio advertiser from its own category Lowes had an aggressive run on the radio last week, airing nearly 31,000 commercials on radio stations all across the country, according to Media Monitors. The Home Depot was number one again at 59,084. GEICO stayed at number two, airing 38,315 spots. Rounding out the top five were AutoZone with 30,479 and Walgreens with 29,097.

iHeart Launches Private Programmatic Marketplace

The private marketplace will be the company's own inventory on iHeartRadio. Advertisers will be able to programmatically target iHeartRadio’s audience using a combination of first- and third-party data segments. In addition to custom stations, iHeart's 858 radio stations are streamed for free to listeners on the iHeartRadio app. iHeartMedia's private marketplace will be powered by AdsWizz.
