The duo from 92.3 WIL St. Louis have taken it all the way to the end zone with their “5,000 Toys for Girls and Boys” charity toy drive. The country morning show hosts collected more than 8,000 toys during the holiday community effort, which wrapped up with a marathon toy collection effort on December 9 and 10. In a 36-hour period, Bud and Broadway’s Home Team collected 8,348 toys for families served by the Salvation Army in the Gateway City.

Later, the pair said, “We knew that the people of St. Louis would come through for us, and boy did they ever. It’s so awesome to watch a city come together like this for kids.  One more reason why we love it here.”

92.3 WIL Program Director Scott Roddy added, “This is just another example of Hubbard Broadcasting and WIL’s dedication to local talent making a measurable difference in our community. I’m proud of Bud and Broadway’s leadership in helping those who need it most during the holidays: the kids. I just hope they thaw in time for their next show.”
