The Chairman said he was willing to step down as chairman at the FCC if it lead to the Senate confirming Commissioner Rosenworcel for another term. She's been in limbo for about a year now, serving on the Commission unconfirmed. The Hill reported Wheeler's plan to step down but it looks unlikely to happen for Rosenworcel as the Senate has wrapped up its business for the holidays without voting on her nomination.

Kampmeier (pictured) will retire on December 31 and Rick Everett will take over his position. Kampmeier has over 45 years of experience in the radio industry and most recently served as the Region VP of Programming for iHeartMedia’s North Florida Region.

The FCC is proposing the fine against Iglesia el Remanente Fraternidad Elim and Belarmino Lara for operating the unlicensed station at 93.7 MHz in Arleta, California. The Commission has repeatedly warned both Elim and Lara that what they were doing was illegal but they have ignored the warnings. As the FCC's NAL points out this issue has been going on since 2013.

Paul Richards of KRDO Newsradio was found dead at his Colorado Springs home Sunday. Richards, whose real name is Paul Mundt, was 55.
