The Friends of 88.5 FM, a nonprofit community organization formed to preserve local National Public Radio affiliate KPLU, have received approval from the FCC to take over operation of the station. The closing is expected on August 30 or August 31.
O’Brian Signs New Deal With Beasley in Vegas
Beasley's KKLZ-FM will continue to be Mike O'Brian's radio home after he renewed his contract with the station to continue in his role as morning show host and PD. It's a multi-year deal, no other details were announced. O'Brian has been on the air in Vegas for over 30 years.
