Motor Racing Network’s Radio Advisory Council met this year in Kansas City to discuss growth opportunities for the network and its radio partners. The council, consisting of a rotating panel of 12 radio partners, was conceived in 2013 to encourage improved communications between the network and radio stations, and to exchange ideas to promote audience and revenue growth for NASCAR radio content.
Service Men & Women Given The Airwaves On Veterans Day
Classic Rock station PYX 106, (Albany, NY), will hold its fourth annual "Vets Rock" broadcast on Veterans Day, featuring 10 local military service men and women. After auditions were conducted, the vets were selected to host the station’s programming and conversation topics for a day.
KIRO Plus Cops Equals Beds For Kids
News doesn’t get much better than this. KIRO Radio 97.3 FM’s Ron & Don show, the Seattle Police Department (with the support of the Seattle Police Foundation), and Sleep Train will provide 300 beds to children in need through the 2016 “Beds for Kids Project.”

Mary Burney has joined NextRadio's TagStation as the National Sales Director. She joins the company from iHeartMedia in Detroit, where she was National AE. Prior to iHeartMedia, Burney was an Account Executive with Bell Media Radio in Canada. She also worked at Clear Channel Radio Sales in Troy, Radio One in Detroit and Interep National Radio Sales.

Levine To Chair New York Broadcasters Board
The New York State Broadcasters Association recently elected its new officers and board of directors in New York City. Galaxy Communications CEO Ed Levine was elected chairman of the board. He replaces V.P. and GM of Quincy Broadcasting’s WBNG-TV in Binghamton, Bob Krummenacker.
