Alpha Media Brings Toys To Topeka
Christmas was brighter for thousands of kids in Topeka this year thanks to Alpha Media joining forces with the Topeka Rescue Mission. The organizations collected thousands of items to distribute to families who otherwise might not have had any presents under the tree. Around 4,000 people were helped this year with 3,700 toys being collected for kids.
Ryan Redington To Be Featured Speaker At CRS 2017
Redington is Director of Amazon Music and will speak on Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at 9 a.m. He will discuss the innovative approach Amazon uses through their progressive services and consumer relations. Throughout his time at Amazon, Redington has overseen the launch of two Amazon Music streaming services—Amazon Music Unlimited in October 2016 and Prime Music in June 2014.

FCC Extends Deadline For Quadrennial Review Comments
On August 10, 2016, the FCC adopted a Second Report and Order that completed the 2010 and 2014 Quadrennial Reviews of the media ownership rules. On December 1, 2016, several companies filed petitions for reconsideration of the Order, including the NAB and Connoisseur.
Raback Moves Into Corner Office
Cumulus has promoted Matt Raback to Market Manager from VP of Sales in York-Lancaster-Reading, PA where Cumulus has a cluster of six stations. Raback replaces Ron Giovanniello, Regional Vice President, Cumulus Media Pennsylvania, who has been covering the York-Lancaster-Reading market for the past year as Market Manager, in addition to his RVP duties.
New Lineup For The Score In Chicago
With the retirement of longtime host Terry Boers, CBS Radio Chicago’s 670-AM The Score is launching a new lineup Tuesday, January 17. Midday host Jason Goff (right) will move to afternoons, joining Dan Bernstein, and teaming up with midday host Matt Spiegel will be Danny Parkins.

Is Cumulus having trouble getting debtholders to buy into their refinance plan? On Wednesday, Cumulus again extended the expiration date and early tender date for its previously announced private exchange offer for its 2019 7.75% senior notes.
Bennett Ends Weekly Interview Show
Salem has announced the end of The Bill Bennett Interview which aired mornings on the Salem Radio Network, and about 60 affiliates on the weekend. Salem will be offering affiliates replacement hours of either Hugh Hewitt or another "best of" weekend program.

Bridge Ratings was in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronic Show this past week where the company conducted five focus groups with the intent of gauging a) podcast consumption patterns among current podcast listeners, and b) if new technology would reduce the friction that has limited podcasting as a reach medium.
