Mercury Awards Entry Deadline Extended
The new deadline is Friday, April 21. The Radio Mercury Awards were established to encourage and reward the development of effective and creative radio commercials. The competition draws entries from advertising agencies, production houses, radio stations, and educational institutions across the country. Over $87K in prizes are up for grabs.

Chi-Town’s WGN Radio has announced 10 new inductees for its 2017 Walk of Fame class. They will be honored with a ceremony and live broadcast from 10 a.m. to Noon on Thursday, May 25 at the Tribune Tower at 435 North Michigan Avenue.
iHeart Shows Bender Some Love
KISS-FM in Seattle has renewed and extended its agreement with the co-host of The Bender & Molly in the Morning Show. Bender recently celebrated his 16-year anniversary with the iHeart station. After signing his new deal, Bender said, "Sixteen years and I've still got the greatest gig in the world. I'm extremely happy to extend the ride."

Adam will assume morning drive duties for Star 102.1, “Dallas’ More Music, More Variety” radio station, April 3, 2017. Star Mornings with Leigh Ann will broadcast weekdays 6 – 10 a.m., with the host will be discussing the latest news in entertainment and pop culture as well as conducting major interviews with major artists.

Elvis Duran (pictured) picked up another station on March 27, as he goes on his syndicating way: 98.5 KISS FM in Peoria. The host of the most-listened-to Top 40 morning show in America is now waking folks in Central Illinois, 5-9 a.m. daily. Scott of the KISS Morning Show will move to afternoons starting April 3, with a brand new show.
