Philadelphia’s 105.3 WDAS FM, “Philly’s Best R&B and Throwbacks,” is honoring noted local personality Tony Brown’s 45th anniversary in radio with a special celebration on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Relish in Philadelphia at 8 p.m. ET.

Electronics Research, Inc. has promoted Dave Benco to the position of Vice President, U.S. Sales. He will have  the responsibility of leading ERI's U.S. sales for television and radio antenna, transmission line, and filters. Benco has over 20 years of experience in terrestrial broadcasting.

Radio veteran Deborah Rodriguez has been named weekday morning drive anchor for CBS News Radio. Rodriguez begins Monday, October 2, with her top-of-the-hour newscasts heard daily starting at 5 a.m. ET on CBS News Radio affiliates around the country.

Drew Salamon has been named Region Vice President of Sales for its Virginia-Carolina Region making the move from Pittsburgh. iHeartMedia’s Virginia-Carolina Region has a strong cross-platform encompassing more than 53 stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

The show is called iHeartNOW with Elvis Duran and each afternoon on Facebook’s Watch the program will feature music news updates and interviews with celebrities and artists who join Elvis to discuss the latest in pop culture, celebrity news, and the hottest trends.

As of October 2, Shawnda McNeal will be the new co-host of Idaho’s Morning Show on Country radio station KIZN Kissin’ 92.3 in Boise. McNeal will join co-host Cory Mikhals weekdays from 5:30-10 a.m. She will also do double-time on-air as the new midday host for the station

Former Greater Media CEO Peter Smyth was among the 2017 inductees recognized for life-long contributions to broadcasting, at the 2017 Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame induction luncheon. Smyth was on Radio Ink's 40 Most Powerful list for 15 years (2002-2016). He's pictured here with Beasley Media CEO Caroline Beasley who was #6 on our list in 2017.

Cox Media Group Atlanta Radio’s Condace Pressley, a Georgia Radio Hall of Fame Inductee and WSB Radio’s Manager of Program Operations and Community Affairs, was recently selected to the Atlanta Business League’s 2017 list of Atlanta’s Top 100 Black Women of Influence.

It’s a holiday season for the show, which aims to provide every active service member deployed outside the United States with a handwritten thank you letter on Thanksgiving Day. Since its inception in 2009, The Bert Show’s Big Thank You campaign has collected more than one million handwritten letters from the nation and beyond.
