On Thursday afternoon, iHeartMedia CEO Bob Pittman accepted the Broadcaster of the Year award from the New York State Broadcasters Association in New York City. NYSBA President ​David Donovan said, “Bob Pittman is a true industry leader and perhaps the most creative, visionary, and dynamic executive in broadcasting. His views not only shape the radio industry, but the future of all media in this country.   2. Pittman hasn’t made one cent in profit…not one cent…after being the boss of Clear Channel/Iheart now for 10 years. He has laid off thousands of people at the radio stations. He has led the effort to replace local personalities at hundreds of Clear Channel/iheart stations, with voice tracking coming from hundreds of miles away. And this guy is the NY Broadcaster of the Year???????? Seriously???!!! Is this a joke, or was Pittman the only one up for consideration?!
