The trial between Taylor Swift and fired Denver morning man David Mueller officially began Tuesday. Mueller took the stand and was peppered with questions about destroyed evidence as Swift's team tried to damage his credibility right off the bat. They also attempted to portray Mueller as an angry man who wasn't getting enough attention from the superstar singer.

RMLC Confirms: GMR Offering Extensions, Even in PA.
You may recall back in July we wrote about how the RMLC had filed an injunction against GMR because the RMLC accused GMR of refusing to offer stations in Pennsylvania an extension on licenses to air GMR works. On Tuesday the RMLC confirmed that the 6-month extensions now being offered by GMR are being offered to all stations in every state. As the RMLC battles with Irving Azoff's Global Music Rights Organization, radio stations that might be airing works from GMR were offered a 6-month extension from GMR on Monday. The original 9-month interim license expires at the end of September.
Taylor Swift Jury Expected to be Chosen Today
The Taylor Swift vs. David Mueller jury selection began Monday with 60 potential jurors being questions by attorneys for both sides. The judge also asked potential jurors to describe how much of a Taylor Swift fan they were, whether they liked Country Music, the local Denver Radio stations and if any of them saw the leaked picture of Swift and former KYGO Denver host David Mueller (pictured here).
Charlie Morgan New NYMRAD Treasurer
Emmis New York‘s Senior Vice President/Market Manager Charlie Morgan has joined the New York Market Radio Association’s Executive Committee as Treasurer, replacing Univision’s Ramon Pineda. Morgan is a 38-year broadcast veteran.
