Moonves On Sileo Show Friday

CBS CEO Les Moonves will make an appearance on The Dan Sileo Show this Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. Sileo hosts a sports talk show on The Mighty 1090 in San Diego which is owned by Broadcast Company of the Americas. Here Are The 2017 “Rising Through The Ranks” Winners

Scholarship winners for this year’s Rising Through the Ranks Seminar, presented by the RAB, BMI, and the Mentoring and Inspiring Women in Radio group have been selected. Twenty-five broadcasters will attend this year’s seminar August 16-17 at the BMI Nashville office thanks to the scholarships.

iHeartRadio Music Festival Lineup Announced

The 2017 iHeartRadio Music Festival lineup of artists was announced on Tuesday. This year, the two-day event will feature performances by Coldplay, DJ Khaled, Chris Stapleton, Kings of Leon, Big Sean, P!NK, Miley Cyrus and others. Ryan Seacrest will again be the host. The event will take place September 22 and 23 in Las Vegas at the T-Mobile Arena.

iHeart Lenders Make Counter Proposal On Debt

Since March, iHeartCommunications has been trying to convince lenders and bondholders to restructure about $15 billion of the company's debt. What iHeart was offering the lenders has not convinced them to buy into the plan and iHeart has continued to extend the deadline of their offer. There has been a counteroffer made by one of the lenders which that lender believes may bring other lenders in.

Chapman Rises To Manager

Cumulus Lafayette has promoted Robin Chapman from Senior AE to GSM for its four stations in that market. Chapman joined Cumulus Lafayette in 2009 and has been a previous Radio Ink Radio Wayne Street Fighter Award Finalist. The Cumulus Lafayette cluster includes KNEK-AM/FM, KRRQ-FM, KSMB-FM and NASH FM 99.1/KXKC-FM.

Chio Gets New Co-Host At 106.1

Chio in the Morning, on Real 106.1 "Philly’s Real No. 1 for Throwbacks,” will have Shila Nathan as its new co-host beginning today. Nathan has worked with Chio previously as a co-host, and reunites with him in Philadelphia to broadcast a variety of hip hop, R&B, and rhythmic music from the ‘90s and early 2000s.

RAB Launches Redesigned “Why Radio” Micro-Site

A Date Has Finally Been Announced

We now know when the Mike & Mike morning show on ESPN Radio will end and the Golic & Wingo show will begin. ESPN says the new program will begin airing November 27. Mike Greenberg is moving over to television where he'll host his own show. Greenberg and Golic have been hosting mornings on ESPN for 18 years. Their last day will be November 17.

USRN Gets House Of Hair Back

On Monday, United Stations Radio Networks announced a partnership with The House of Hair and The Daily House of Hair Cut. USRN will handle ad sales for the national commercial time in the shows, which are hosted by Dee Snider. Bernadette Productions will handle affiliate relations.
