iHeartMedia will air Mark Ramsey’s (pictured) acclaimed podcast Inside Psycho as a 1-hour special adapted from Wondery’s hit podcast throughout the weekend and leading up to Halloween, across the country. The show is a detailed look behind the scenes of the making of the movie Psycho and is a mix of fact and partial fact.

(By Jay Meyers) Few things in this world tick me off more than when I read some commentary from someone with zero knowledge about the urban myth of Minot. Franklin Raff’s article on the Radio Ink website Tuesday used false information as fact, and further shows a clear lack of understanding of the current Main Studio rules.

On Tuesday, as expected, The Federal Communications Commission eliminated the 80-year old broadcast main studio rule. Chairman Pai, Commissioners O’Rielly and Carr voted in favor. Commissioners Clyburn and Rosenworcel voted no. The Order retains the requirement that stations maintain a local or toll-free telephone.

Tuesday's article on Radioink.com by Franklin Raff ignited a lot of passion about the Main Studio Rule, both in favor and against removing it. On Tuesday, The FCC voted 3-to-2 to eliminate the rule . Radio One has promoted Tim Davies from VP/GM in Atlanta to Regional VP. The 20 year vet oversees the Radio One Atlanta and Reach Media operation which includes four radio stations, four syndicated shows, digital platforms, the filming of Dish Nation TV, and signature events such as Birthday Bash and Praise in the Park.

Syndicated AC and Classic Hits morning show Murphy, Sam and Jodi can now be heard on MARC Radio Group’s WXJZ-FM in Gainesville, iHeartMedia’s KYWY-FM in Cheyenne, and iHeart's WDFM-FM in Defiance, OH. That brings the new morning show up to 47 affiliates across the country.

Philadelphia’s 95.7 BEN FM will feature Dee Snider, lead singer of 80s rock band Twisted Sister, as the guest host of “95.7 BEN FM’s Halloween Hair Ball” on Saturday, October 28, starting at 7 p.m. Snider will play the top 50 greatest hair band hits of the 80s, as chosen by the 95.7 BEN FM listeners, commercial free.

That's according to Deloitte's 32nd Annual Holiday Survey of consumer spending intentions and trends released on Tuesday. Survey respondents intend to spend 51 percent of their budget online, compared with 42 percent in-store. In last year's survey, online and in-store were equal at 47 percent.

93.1 Katy Country (KMKT) partnered with Classic of Texoma car dealership to raise $30,000 for law enforcement agencies with Back the Badge golf tournament. Funds raised came from sponsor donations and community members who competed in the tournament.
