Cumulus Media's WGRF/97 Rock in Buffalo raised over $100,000 for the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York during the 23rd Annual Make-A-Wish Radio-Thon. The fundraiser was held September 14-15, and every song played during the Radio-Thon was a request with a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Western New York

First Play is a new podcast program offering early releases of new episodes of podcasts from networks like WNYC Studios, Gimlet Media, HowStuffWorks, Wondery, Feral Audio and StarTalk. New episodes will be available early, up to one week before they’re available on other platforms, and they will be free to all TuneIn users.

Syndicated personality Dave Ramsey will host the 29th Annual National Radio Hall of Fame Induction ceremony and celebration. The 2017 inductees include Tom Barnard, Bobby Bones, Joe Field, Bill Handel, Sean Hannity, John Records Landecker, Robin Quivers, and Bob Sievers. The ceremony is November 2 at the Museum of Broadcast Communications in Chicago.

Pai and Clyburn were in Miami for a post-Irma tour and were interviewed on WIOD by Enrique Santos and Jimmy Cefalo. The company is accusing former Richmond part-timer Amir Shabazz of taking over the account belonging to iPower Richmond (WCDX-FM), changing the station's username and password, and preventing the radio station from being able to use the account.

The Broadcasters Foundation of America raised the money to help broadcasters in need during the golf tournament last week in Briarcliff Manor, NY. The annual event is one of the Broadcasters Foundation’s biggest fundraisers. This year, more than 150 broadcasters and celebrities participated in the event.

Market Manager Matt Hanlon said WFNZ is where the Hornets need to be. “The Hornets are an outstanding organization in a great sports town. Las Vegas Radio Hall of Fame inductee Connie Breeze has joined veteran hip hop radio host Greg Mack and his revamped five-hour classic hip hop weekend radio program, The Greg Mack Show. Over her career, Breeze has worked as an assistant PD, an MD, and a highly rated afternoon personality.
