WGN Radio will debut The WGN Radio Holiday Spectacular, a live variety show featuring the station’s talent, on Friday, December 15 from 10 a.m. to Noon. According to Media Moves, José Villafañe is leaving his post as President of Entravision Communication National Sales, a role he has held since 2015. Villafañe joined Entravision in 2010 as SVP of National Sales and was promoted to EVP of Sales in 2014, before moving up to President of National Sales.

KOA Fills An Empty Chair

iHeartMedia Denver has hired Marty Lenz as new morning co-host for KOA NewsRadio. Colorado’s Morning News with April Zesbaugh & Marty Lenz will air weekdays from 5 until 10 a.m. MT as of January 8. Lenz replaces Steffan Tubbs, who was let go in August after a domestic violence charge.

Coomer Staying On To Call The Cubs

Entercom and the Chicago Cubs have announced that Chicago’s 670 The Score (WSCR-AM) will remain the home of radio color analyst Ron Coomer through a multiyear contract extension. Coomer will continue working alongside play-by-play announcer Pat Hughes. Coomer first joined the Cubs Radio Network in 2013, succeeding Keith Moreland on WGN 720.
