The previous owners took a $25,000 deposit from the husband and wife team because they know the Hollenbaugh's were serious local broadcasters and will take good care of their signal, and the community. The 80 year old sportscaster, who was fired by Imus back in December, says in the suit that Imus routinely cracked "inappropriate" jokes about his age, such as "time to put Wolf out to pasture" and "shoot him with an elephant dart gun." Now Wolf has filed a lawsuit against his former friend.

Lazar Moves From Entercom To iHeart In Chicago

iHeartMedia has named Lindsay Lazar GSM at "BIG 95.5" (Country/WEBG) and "93.9 LITE FM" (80s and 90s/WLIT) in Chicago. The 20-year vet moves to iHeart from the Entercom/CBS Chicago cluster where she was Sales Manager. She's also held sales and account management positions at Total Traffic and Weather Network, and Premiere Networks.

Cox Has A New Tampa D.O.S.

Cox Media Group Tampa has promoted Bryan Kelly to D.O.S. Bryan spent the past two years as GSM at CMG Tampa before being promoted. Kelly has also worked in sales management in Sarasota and West Palm. The D.O.S. vacancy was created when Jason Meder was promoted to GM in Orlando in December. CMG has six stations in the Tampa market.

Galaxy Sells Utica Classic Rocker To Townsquare

This isn't something we see often. One company with a cluster, selling one of their very successful stations to a competitor, who also has a cluster in the same market. Ed Levine's Galaxy Communications is selling WOUR to Townsquare in Utica, New York, for $3.9 million.

Reed Promoted By CMG In Tulsa

Cox Media Group Tulsa Market Vice President Cathy Gunther announced on Thursday that Nate Reed has been named Operations Manager for that market. Reed moves into the job from his position as Director of Branding and Programming at CMG Tulsa’s Hot AC KRAV/Mix 96.5.

Non-Advertising Revenue Boosts Univision’s Radio Division

On Thursday, Univision reported total radio revenue of $79 million for the fourth quarter of 2017. That's an increase of 8.5% over 2016. However, advertising revenue for the radio segment decreased 5.5% to $63.4 million from $67.1 in Q4.

It’s Coast To Coast For Ryan Maguire

Ryan Maguire is the new PD for Bonneville's powerhouse News/Talker KIRO Radio in Seattle. Maguire has spent many years in the sports format and makes the move to Seattle from Entercom's WQAM in Miami where he's been PD since 2015. KIRO has been without a PD since Pete Gammell left the station in December.
