Dennis Green left Westwood One last week after more than two decades. On Monday came the announcement of where Green landed. It's a newly created position at Sun & Fun Media where Green will lead the development of new products and services for radio stations, and manage a team of six affiliate salespeople.

President and CEO of JVC Media John Caracciolo delivered the 2018 Commencement Speech for Five Towns College, Saturday, May 12. Caracciolo also received a Doctor of Humane Letters from the University.

Country Radio Broadcasters have chosen Emmis New York Market Manager Charlie Morgan as its recipient of the 2018 President’s Award. Morgan is also a very active member of the CRB. The award will be presented during the Country Radio Hall of Fame Dinner and Awards ceremony, Wednesday, June 20 at the Marriott Nashville.

On Monday, Urban One, Red Zebra Broadcasting and the Washington Redskins announced that Urban One is purchasing WTEM-AM (The Team 980) from Red Zebra. Urban One has five FM and two AM signals in the DC market already. Urban One has also entered into an agreement with the Redskins to continue carrying all the team's games. 

Media Staffing Network has recruited Cori Hirsh to a dual role in new business development and recruiting. Formerly an Account Manager at Local Focus Radio, Hirsh’s radio career began in 2001 as an account executive with Clear Channel’s Kiss 95.7 in Hartford, CT.

iHeartMedia Chicago has announced that Melissa Forman has returned as Morning Show Host for 93.9 LITE FM, “Chicago’s Variety from the 80s, 90s & Now for Chicago!,” effective May 29.

Mexico Media Reps, a division of Media Access Partners, has formed a radio network in Northern Mexico. The Border Radio Network is comprised of radio stations located within and serving the 10 major Mexican border markets.

Beasley New Jersey’s 105.5 WDHA-FM and 1250 WMTR-AM lent their support to raise funds and build an affordable home for a local veteran during a special Beasley Best Day of Caring Hammer for Heroes event in conjunction with the Morris Habitat for Humanity in Morris County New Jersey.
