77 WABC Radio has announced it will broadcast a new weekend sports show hosted by Sid Rosenberg, co-host of WABC’s Bernie and Sid in the Morning. The new program, Sid Sports Sunday, will debut on WABC on September 9, 8 a.m.-10 a.m. EST.

The Country Music Association announced the nominees for the 52nd Annual CMA Awards on Tuesday. In the National Personality of the Year category it's Westwood One versus SiriusXM.

On Tuesday, iHeartMedia’s Cleveland Rock station 100.7 WMMS announced a series of events to celebrate its 50th Anniversary. The station, which first hit airwaves on September 28, 1968, will give listeners a chance to relive memorable on-air moments during a month-long celebration.

According to Edison Research, consumers are more likely to listen to audio in their vehicles than in any other location, including their homes. Edison says the automobile is by far the most popular place for people to listen to AM/FM radio, with more than half of all Americans age 13 and older listening to radio in their cars on any given day.

Beasley Media Group has promoted Eric Camille to the position of Assistant Program Director of 97.5 The Fanatic (WPEN-FM) in Philadelphia. He began his new position on Friday, August 24.

According to Seeking Alpha SiriusXM CEO Jim Meyer will be staying on for at least one more year. Meyer was named interim CEO in December of 2012 when Mel Karmazin left. In 2013 the interim title was dropped. Meyer makes just under $2 million per year in salary plus bonuses that could make him close to $10 million, according to Seeking Alpha.

Midwest Communications has hired Kurt Luchs (pictured) to manage its five stations in Kalamazoo. Luchs recently parted ways with NRG Media where he was managing NRG's seven-station cluster in Omaha. Midwest also announced Mark Jaycox will manage its four-station cluster in Lansing.

This is a follow-up to a story we've been keeping an eye on since June when WGOW Chattanooga morning man Jeff Styles was arrested in a road rage incident. The station released this short statement on Monday: "The company has concluded its internal investigation of the situation and has decided to end our relationship with Jeff Styles.”

After three years with Cumulus/Westwood One as VP of Social Media, Lori Lewis' last day will be September 14.
