Hubbard Radio Chicago has announced that Mary Ellen Kachinske will no longer serve as Program Director of 101.9 THE MIX/WTMX. Music Director Nikki Chuminatto will serve as Interim Program Director.

The Ben Shapiro Show is moving from its current 9 p.m.-10 p.m. slot on WLS-AM 890/Chicago to weekdays 2 p.m.-5 p.m. Central on January 7, 2019. The new timeslot includes two hours of live programming and one hour of the Ben Shapiro podcast airing on the radio.

iHeartMedia Orlando has announced the retirement of talker Jim Philips. His final show will be Tuesday, November 20 on Real Radio 104.1. Philips has hosted the show for over 30 years.

iHeartMedia has announced the Jim Colbert Show will debut November 26 on Real Radio 104.1 Orlando. The show will be broadcast weekdays from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and replace Jim Philips who announced his retirement after more than 30 years at the station.

In Detroit, Tom “Cadillac Jack” Kapsalis is the new Assistant Program Director and midday drive host for 99.5 WYCD-FM, starting November 19. Jack will be on air weekdays, 10:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. ET. The move marks a return to Detroit for Jack.

Andy Denemark at United Stations Radio Networks shares the sad news that Jeff Parets, the host of the syndicated program The Acoustic Storm, passed away on Wednesday, November 7, after a battle with cancer. He was 67 years old.

Entercom New York announced Corey Bonalewicz is the new weekday afternoon drive host and Kevan Kenney moves to weekday late-night host for WNYL-FM.

ALT 105.3 WNOH-FM/Hampton Roads, VA & NC, has added The Woody Show to its lineup. The top-rated morning program broadcasts on the station Monday through Friday, 6-10 a.m. ET. The show features Woody, along with co-hosts Ravey, Greg Gory, Menace, and Sebas.
