The streamer says more than half a billion listening hours had been generated on the platform during the month of December, closing out a record year for the company. It also saw a 31 percent year-over-year increase in overall listening hours.

Conservative iHeart talker Jesse Kelly is standing his ground after a tweet received some backlash on social media. Kelly was attending his son's Lego robotics tournament when he fired this tweet: "you've never seen this many depressed father's [sic] in one place."

The streaming app is getting ready to enable a block feature to mute artists listeners don’t want to listen to. According to The Verge, after rejecting the feature back in 2017, the company is now testing the “don’t play this artist” feature.

According to several reports out Monday, Spotify is close to launching an in-car music streamer. The Financial Times says the $100 device would connect via Bluetooth to existing car stereo systems and include voice commands.
